Nothing beats the performance of Pelargonium zonale F1 which is commonly called Geranium. Geraniums are a wonderful annual that work well in window boxes, all sorts of containers, and as a bedding plant. They have many branches but are compact in their growth and neat in appearance.
Geraniums grows as a 12 - 14 annual plant in USDA zones 3 - 8.
Geraniums have large bloom clusters, this variety has soft rose colored blooms, and beautiful foliage to make a perfect addition to wherever they are grown. Geraniums give a color display all summer long, and they stand up to the heat! They can be wintered indoors with a little extra care.
Sowing Rate: 2 - 3 seeds per plant. Start the seed indoors 8 – 10 weeks before the last expected frost. Press the seeds into the soil covering them with 1/8 inch of soil. Keep the seed moist until germination. With temperatures of 75F, germination is normally within 7 days. Transplant outdoors when frost danger has passed.
Space the plants 8 - 12 inches apart. Grow in full sun and in moist, well-drained soil. Water the plants regularly. Use balanced liquid fertilizer monthly throughout the growing season. Deadhead spent blooms to keep blooming continuous.
